Liturgy & Worship

Altar Servers

Assisting the priest during Mass is a privilege for a person.  This ministry consists of young people in fourth grade through high school and adult men who assist the priest at Masses and other special liturgical services held in the parish during the year.  They agree to commit to a certain scheduled time of the Mass and attend training sessions when needed.

Greeters

This ministry helps create a warm, welcoming environment and assists those with special needs as they arrive at Mass.  These ministers can include any person or family who wish to help welcome people as they arrive at the doors of the church before and after Mass.  As well as, to help answer questions for visitors or new parishioners or direct them to those who can assist them.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during daily and weekend Masses.

Gift Bearers

As a family or as friends, you can present the gifts of bread and wine on behalf of the gathered assembly at Mass, an important part of the Sunday liturgy.

Readers

Readers proclaim the Word of God in the Readings (1st & 2nd Readings) at the weekend Masses.  Resources exist to help readers prepare for proclaiming and grow in their understanding of the readings.

Ushers

The ushers seat parishioners as needed, take up collections or offerings, and direct flow of parishioners to Communion in an orderly fashion.  They provide additional services as may be required to maintain order throughout the Mass.

***** The above ministries are scheduled through the program Ministry Scheduled Pro. To participate in any of these important ministries of the church, contact Erin in the Parish Office.

Music Ministry (Adult Choir/Ensemble)

Members of the parish music ministry help to lead and provide music for our worship at all of the Masses.  All are welcome to share their musical talents whether it be with their voice or musical instrument.  Accompaniment at Mass includes organ, piano, and sometimes a guitar or two.
