The prayer shawl ministry, one of our parish's newest ministries, meets weekly to teach each other how to knit and crochet and to coordinate their work on prayer shawls. Members of this ministry knit and crochet shawls for our elderly, homebound, and infirm parishioners and friends of the parish, for expectant mothers, and for new babies within the parish. As they make these shawls, they pray especially for the recipient, and when the shawl is completed, it is blessed by a priest at Mass before being presented to the recipient.
